Back to the Future: Back in Time is a fully co-operative game that recreates the plot of the original film. Players work together to fix the DeLorean, keep Biff at bay, and make sure George and Lorraine fall in love all before the lightning strikes the Clock Tower at 10:04pm. The centrepiece is a 3D Clock Tower that doubles as a dice tower for DeLorean movement, giving the game real table presence.

Each player takes on a character from the movie Marty, Doc, Jennifer, or Einstein and moves around 1955 Hill Valley collecting items and completing objectives. Biff and his gang move around the board as an active threat, and the McFly family photo acts as a ticking timer resolve all Major Events before the children fade from the photo, or the game is lost.
