Nearly a decade before Hollywood embraced a comedic take on love after death with Warm Bodies, Life After Beth, and Burying the Ex, Canadian actor/director Brett Kelly provided the template with his Mini-DV camcorder for horror-comedy My Dead Girlfriend. No stranger to zombie movies, The Dead Next Door director and Tempe chief J.R. Bookwalter teamed with Kelly to finance and distribute this shot-on-video farce after introducing the filmmakers unique brand of micro-budget, Ottawa-lensed cinema to unsuspecting DVD buyers with six earlier genre features.

When Steve accidentally kills Amy by backing over her with his car, he attempts to revive her using an ancient book of magic. Unfortunately, Amy returns from the dead as a flesh-eating zombie! It takes all of Steves energy to keep their neighbors and friends from discovering the truth, and carnage ensues as Amy makes a meal out of Steves best friends!

Painstakingly restored using archival masters from original Mini-DV source tapes with all-new color grading, Tempe Digital revives My Dead Girlfriend on Blu-ray along with new and vintage behind the scenes bonus material.
